OPEN GYM
FRIDAY 7:30-9:30pM// Sunday 3-5pm
Open Gym is a time for students and professionals to use the gym to train and practice their skills. Open gym is ONLY for practicing skills that you have learned previously, and is not a time for learning new skills. Students must be at a level that they can safely train by themselves, outside of a group guided setting. This is NOT A CLASS.

Circus Foundations - Multi-Discipline Taster Class
Saturdays 5:30PM- 7:00pm w/ Guin
4-week courses starting March 8th & April 5th
$115 including tax for all 4 Classes!
A taster class for adult students looking to get started in circus work as a whole and would like to get a taste of many skills before committing to one. A great spot to start for those who have never done circus and perhaps don't know which apparatus they would like to focus on.
Students will learn the basics of Aerial, Acrobatics, Juggling, and more! Students will gain strength, balance, and confidence to move forward to new heights.

ADULT Acrobatics - Level 1
Wednesday 6:30PM - 8PM - Kyle Scott
Thursday 6:30PM - 8PM - Kyle Scott
An introduction to the building blocks of acrobatics; handstands, bridges and cartwheels, and leads to the beginnings of front and back handsprings. This class is a great introduction to movement, regardless of your skill level.
Watch skills and fitness develop hand in hand under Kyle's instruction, assuming you’re not afraid of getting a little sweaty.

ADULT Acrobatics - Level 2
Friday 6:30PM - 8PM - Kyle Scott
A Mixed level class for students who have taken Level 1 Acrobatics for 1 year+ or have previous experience with acrobatics/ capoeira/ advanced yoga, etc. This is a perfect class for students who have previous experience in dance, yoga, gymnastics, etc, and are not starting from square one. Students will still work on fundamental skills and tricks, however they should have good body awareness and a strong skill base.

Handstands and Balance
thursday 8-9:00pm - KYLE SCOTT
Inversions are the basis of acrobatic and physical circus training. Headstands, Shoulder stands, elbow stands, crow, croc, and more! This class works on building the balance and strength to maintain a handstand through flexibility, core work, and strength training. Kyle's knowledgeable and motivating teaching style is sure to get you on your way to reaching your handstand goals!

Acrobatics - Level 3
Monday 7:00PM - 8:30PM - Kyle Scott**
Once students have mastered the building blocks of acrobatics, they are invited to advance to the intermediate class where they will focus on building combinations and continuing to build on the basic skills. Let Kyle's tough love bring your potential to life and fine tune your flips, jumps, rolls and twists.

Partner Acrobatics

Wednesday 8:00PM - 9:30PM - Kyle Scott
No experience or partner required! This class focuses on partner acrobatics, with an emphasis on refining balance, creative movement, and safety in partner work. Build skills in strength, balance, and coordination while learning valuable communication skills. Come stack, stand, balance, and occasionally end up in a heap on the floor. Fun skills and a couple of good laughs are guaranteed with this all-levels class.

Hand to Foot Acrobatics
Saturday 5:30-7pm - Ethan Avila
Come learn the art of standing on someone else’s hands! F2H is a fun and challenging part of partner acrobatics where a flyer is supported by one or both feet in only the base’s hands. This class will teach acrobats of all levels progressions for learning and/or levelling up your F2H, starting from the ground in L-basing and working towards standing progressions.
Prerequisites: Some partner acrobatic experience. No partner required.

CONTORTION CLASS - ALL LEVELS
Students will learn the foundations of contortion and active flexibility. Focus will be on strength building with flexibility as well as acrobatic sequencing for contortion. Handbalancing, elbowstands, cheststands, standing scales and other strength based contortion poses will be explored.
Pre-Requisites: Students should be able to execute a basic bridge from the floor as well as comfortably touch their toes.
Dis-Co-circus
(DISability-COmmunity Circus) - ALL Levels
A general circus class created for students who identify as part of the Deaf, Blind, Mad, Neutrodivergent, Diasabled + communities.
Students will work with coaches on a variety of skills depending on what they are interested in. Juggling, Hula Hoop, Diabolo, Acrobatics, Partner Acrobatics, Aerial Silks, Aerial Hoop, and more.
All classes at Halifax Circus welcome anyone who identifies as being part of these communities and this is not the ONLY class available for you. This is just a class specifically available for typically excluded communities.
